ELEMENTARY SOCCER CAMP (K4 to 8th grade)

GBCS will be holding an elementary soccer camp! Practices begin Monday, March 12th, from 5:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Games will be held on Saturdays beginning April 14th and will run through May 12th. There may be a few possible Thursday/Friday games as well. The cost is $70 for the 1st child, $60 for your second child, and $50 for your 3rd child. Price includes shirt, shorts, socks, trophy, and pizza. An awards ceremony and pizza party will be on Saturday, May 12th right after the game. Please see the Elementary Soccer brochure to sign up - these are available on the website and through Edline. Additional copies are available in both the Education and Administrative offices. ALL FORMS MUST BE TURNED IN BY FEBRUARY 24th - send in an envelope marked "For Mrs. Bigham" in to the Education Office. There is a $10 late fee after the 24th (no exceptions, and does not guarantee a spot will be open!)

Open House, Tuesday February 14 |

Come visit on Tuesday, February 14th for our next open house, from 8:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. You'll have a chance to tour the school and our new library/classroom addition, talk to teachers and administrators, and view books and materials. Appointments for tours and open house are not necessary. Please join us!

Second Place Yearbook Award |

Congratulations to Mrs. Schlueter and her yearbook staff from the 2011-12 school year for earning a second place finish for the Exaura in the Private/Parochial School division with enrollments of 500 to 1000 students.

Third Quarter Openings for 2011-12 |

There are still enrollment openings for some grades beginning third quarter, which begins January 17, 2012. Please call Kathy Fry in Student Services at 301-868-1600 x 331 for more information or to stop by and take a tour. Appointments are not needed for tours. The best time to stop by is between 8:30 and 2:30, Monday through Friday.

The new library/classroom addition is finished, and students have moved into the building for the second semester of the 2011-12 school year. A Dedication Service will take place on Sunday, January 22 at 5:00 PM. Tax-deductible donations are still being accepted to help furnish the new library and classrooms. Please send donations to the Administrative Office, marked "Library Fund".
